The Rev. Dr. Virginia Barfield
Associate Dean and Professor of New Testament and Baptist Studies
| Dr. Barfield has taught at The Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC and at the University of North Carolina. She served Kathwood Baptist Church in Columbia as Associate Pastor and Minister of Education and was on the ministerial staff at St. John's Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC.
Dr. Barfield, the Director of the Baptist Studies Program, expresses her enthusiasm for the program: "For Baptist students to have the opportunity to study in the ecumenical environment of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary will be a tremendous asset. I look forward to every aspect recruiting, mentoring, and teaching bright students who will contribute to the quality of the religious life of this state as future Baptist ministers."
