Dr. Brent Driggers
Associate Professor of New Testament
Dr. Driggers has taught at Southern Seminary since 2007. His teaching and research interests include the New Testaments Gospels, their distinctive theologies, and their interpretation within the church.
Dr. Driggers holds degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary (Ph.D., M.Div.), Duke University Divinity School (M.T.S.), and Wake Forest University (B.A.). He is the author of Following God through Mark (Westminster John Knox, 2007), as well as numerous articles and book reviews. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, Catholic Biblical Association of America, and the Centre of Theology and Philosophy (Nottingham, UK).
Away from the seminary Dr. Driggers enjoys music, film, basketball, and golf. He is a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Columbia.
