Dr. Brent Driggers
Associate Professor of New Testament
Before coming to Southern Seminary in the Fall of 2007, Dr. Driggers taught at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina. His Research interests include the New Testament Gospels, biblical ecclesiology, and the relationship between exegesis and systematic theology.
Dr. Driggers holds an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, a Masters in Theology from Duke University Divinity School, and a M.Div. and Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Dr. Driggers has published books, articles, and essays, as well as lectures, papers, and book reviews. He is also a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, American Academy of Religion (affiliate), Catholic Biblical Association of America, and the Centre of Theology and Philosophy (Nottingham, UK).
Away from the seminary he enjoys music, reading, and movies, as well as playing basketball, golf, and hiking/camping.
