Financial Aid
The purpose of the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary financial aid program is to assist students in their educational preparation for ministry. Financial support is available to all degree-seeking students in good academic standing who demonstrate financial need regardless of race, national or ethnic origin, age, sex, handicap, or denominational affiliation.

The current interest rate for loans issued after July 1, 2010 is 4.5%. If you have a unsubsidized loan (issued after July 1, 2010) in the amount of $12,000, at 4.5% interest rate, and you take 10 years to pay it off, you pay $6,635 in interest. |

2009 graduates of LTSS averaged $31,033 in student loan debt. The average scholarship was $5,870 for 2008/09 and 2009/10. Awards are dependent on market value of available scholarships. |
