Note from the VP for Development

Thank you for investing a few moments with us and for looking through the development portion of the Southern Seminary website. Southern Seminary is all about people, particularly people who understand that providing high-quality theological education is vital to the functioning and future of the church.
If you've ever been served by a great pastor or rostered parish worker, there was a seminary that prepared that man or woman for a life of service in the church. If you've ever been a member of a thriving congregation or ministry, you can almost always find a rostered leader who poured heart, soul, faith and hope into that called ministry. Our beautiful, historic campus is not the story of Southern Seminary – without the seminary's God called mission the campus is nothing more than dirt and pretty buildings. What Southern Seminary does to transform men and women into capable public ministers is the true story.
