Commencement 2009 will be held at Ebenzer Lutheran Church at 10:30am. The Rev. Dr. Richard Lischer will deliver the keynote address. Lischer is athe Clelan Professor of Preaching at Duke University.
The Class of 2009 includes 38 graduate candidates, representing 12 ELCA synods, and 8 different Christian denominations. Degrees to be awarded total 24 Master of Divinity, 6 Master of Arts in Religion, and 8 Masters in Sacred Theology.
Also, the seminary will announce the 2009 Herman W. and Elizabth P. Cauble Award, given to a faculty member for distinguished service.
Ebenezer Lutheran Church is located at 1301 Richland St. at the corner of Richland and Sumter Streets.
Seating in the sanctuary is limited, please arrive early. Overflow seating areas will be available.
