Master of Sacred Theology

Requirements
Applicants must have the Master of Divinity degree or a Master of Arts degree in religion or theological studies from an accredited institution with a minimum of 60 semester hours credit. The applicant’s grade point average (GPA) at the master’s level must be at least 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.

Official Transcripts
From all institutions at which the applicant took graduate studies (post-bachelor degree). The institutions attended should send transcripts directly to the Admissions Office. The post-graduation (college) transcript should be mailed to the seminary at the earliest possible date after commencement.

Other Requirements:
-A written statement (not less than one page) of the applicant’s goals, and proposal for a specific area, topic, or project for advance study and research in the S.T.M. program

-Applicants must provide a research paper or recent essay the applicant considers representative of the work in the proposed field of study.

-Letters of recommendation from three academic references. Letters should be sent directly to the Admissions Office from the sources.
