ATLAS for Alums
Many of you used ATLAS (American Theological Library Association Serials data base) when you were at LTSS. This is the online journals database which gives you access to articles and essays by subject, author, book (and chapter and even verse) of the Bible, many of them with links to the material in full text. Some of you have asked if you could have access to this after leaving seminary. But until now, the answer has been "no."
NOW - thanks to the good offices of the American Theological Library Association and the generosity of the Lilly Foundation, access is being granted to all seminary alums free. You need not have finished the degree to be considered an alum (I asked specifically. As one of our resident Episcopalians, I wanted our Episcopal students to have access, even though they had to go finish their degree at an Episcopal seminary).
What do you need to do? Call the seminary library (803-461-3221) and we will give you the URL and the log-in and password.
So even if you're working in the Lord's vineyard in Lard Lake, ND, you can still have access to this stellar resource.
